Quake is one of my favorite ways to kill otherwise useful time.

I play on TeamFortress QuakeWorld servers, and am waiting for Quake 2, which will probably prompt a wave of computer upgrades.

I've played a little Hexen 2 but the single player version is, quite frankly, unplayably monotonous. I haven't been able to squeeze adequate performance out of the multiplayer client yet.

I am in a Quake Clan (The Evil Clown Clan based in Charlotte NC), but they don't play TeamFortress, and I'm considering looking for something closer to home (Washington-Baltimore corridor) that has an interest in TeamFortress.

A faster modem (k56flex) would be nice, as well...
