What a beautiful sunrise! I was sawing logs all night!
Well, actually, the Park Service wouldn't appreciate that. These trees fell naturally; the flora and fauna in the area are protected by law. The birds love the standing dead trees for the view, and the fallen ones make great homes the camps abundant chipmunks, and are eaten by the wood ants and beetles. Eventually, the fallen trees return their nutrients to the soil where they are available for the living trees!
