The #3 seed Los Angeles Duhsasters played the #6 seed New York Yankees in a first round best-of-5 playoff series. The first two games were to be played in New York, while games 3-5 would be in Los Angeles, if necessary. The winner would advance to the Semi-final round against Pittsburgh.

Highlights:  LA gets 1st and 3rd with nobody out in the first and 
             doesn't score.  To one-up LA in the bottom of the 1st, 
             the Yankees load the bases with no one out and doesn't 
             score.  Sosa and Williams homer for LA which provides 
             all the offense needed to win the game.  NYY only had 
             2 hits...one in the first and one in the 9th...despite 
             Park being injured for the series in the 3rd inning.
