Martin Leathers gave up his Detroit franchise, reluctantly, as he was unable to compete in two Leagues anymore. Jeff Guthart, returned to Maryland and re-entered the League taking over Martin's team. His first action was to move the franchise to Colorado. And it was a good move as his team hit over .300 and became the first CBML team ever to perform this task. John Olerud came one hit short of the CBML's first .400 hitter as he settled with a .399 average.

Baltimore came back from a disappointing 1993 season to come away with the League's top record.

Carroll Reese moved his franchise from Shea Stadium to sunny Florida.

Baltimore faced Oakland in the World Series. The series went seven games. In the bottom of the 8th inning of game 7, Baltimore's Bobby Bonilla got their first hit of the game, after a walk. It proved to be the deciding hit of the series as it was a 2-run HR. Baltimore won Game 7, 2-1.
