John Hawes Memorial Strat-O-Matic Baseball League

The JHML is a face-to-face board game consisting of 14 teams. The current Owners/Managers/General Managers are listed later on this page. The CBML and TGML merged in 2003 to create the JHML. The JHML consists of 12 owners in the Baltimore area, and two in the state of Vermont. The season consists of 102 games as teams play division opponents 10 games each, and out-of-division opponents six games each. The 2011 season is the 9th year for the league.

Monkies Sweep Quirks

The Colorado Monkies swept three games from the Toronto Quirks to move on the TGML Divisional Championship Series. The Monkies won game 1, 11-7. They took a 5-0 lead into the 5th, but the Quirks scored five times to tie it. A 4-run 6th, and 2-run 7th clinched it for the Monkies. Game 2 went 10 innings where Miguel Cairo hit a walk off HR to give the Monkies a 6-5 win. In game 3, Ricky Romero and Clay Hensley threw a 2-hit shutout while Teixeira and Valencia hit solo HRs to give the Monkies a 2-0 win, and sweep of the series. The Monkies play the Tampa Bay Phenom in the TGML DIvisional Series.


Phenom Clinch TGML Division; Monkies and Quirks Clinch Playoff Berths

The Tampa Bay Phenom finishes the season atop the TGML Division, and has the best overall record in the JHML. The Colorado Monkies clinched the #2 seed with the Toronto Quirks clinching the #3 seed. The Monkies will host the Quirks in the first round of the TGML Divisional Playoffs.


Pirates Clinch CBML Division; Zoo and Fire Clinch Playoff Berths

The Pittsburgh Pirates clinched the CBML Division to gain the #1 seed in the Division. The San Diego Zoo clinched the #2 seed with the Minnesota Fire clinching the #3 seed. The Zoo will host the Fire in the first round of the CBML Divisional Playoffs.
