Well, it's turned out to be a beautiful day! What an incredible blue sky! I think I'll skip the mid-morning snack and go for a walk.
There are quite a few kilometers of hiking trails very close to the camp. The Catoctin Mountain Park office is only 1100 meters away, and many trails radiate outward from there, graded for difficulty. Most are quite easy to follow. Pack some water and a compass, pick up your trail map at the park office, and you're on your way!
