A set of Italian playing cards with lira coins and banknotes.

Looks like they are playing a game of cards before breakfast. I'm a poker expert, I guess I'll join in. What's going on! Someone's not playing with a full deck! There are only forty cards!

While the Society is chartered to teach "the folklore of the American people", that's a pretty vague notion. After all, most of us come from immigrant families. You'll often find people at the camp sharing something that they have learned from their anscestors or just something, like this game of scopa, that that they have picked up in their travels. We've also had many crafts workshops, the most famous being the Sock Monkeys! We like to do something different at each camp.

I'm fresh out of lira. Next time I'll remember not to put down my settebello! After your expensive culture lesson, press the next button.
